Using Cheap Acme Thread and homemade Acme Tap

    I used the thin cutoff wheels for metal:

    Dorsal said he used a hack saw, but there is no way I could do it that way. :shock:
    I held the thread in a bench vice with a towel for protection. And sprayed it down with water, to keep thing cool.

    You should be able to feel the play with you hand. A regular metal nut has alot. If you can't feel it, then it's pretty good for our needs.
