This was made and posted by Peter Pasuello, over on Joe's 4X4 forum. I hope the link works, it's a great project and should give many of you some new ideas. He gets into cutting the acrylic about 1/2 way through the file.

You have to be an owner of Joe's blueprints to be allowed in his forum. Those guys mostly don't "believe in" a Phlatprinter because it's not big and metal. I think it's a testosterone thing.
Anyway, with a PP and proper materials, the sky is the limit, right? It's all about having the imagination to make "it" happen for you.
One thing I really like about Peter's videos is that he doesn't have all the super-duper name-brand store-bought tools, so he uses a foam block to apply the stain, nails in a block of wood to keep things high while they dry, a homemade sanding disk and table - in other words, he's my kind of tinkerer / builder. :geek:

I have been cutting ABS plastic sheet on the Phlatprinter using a carbide end mill.

    It works great in fact.

I have a new laminate router that I hope to soon be making a mount for the . It should provide a whole new dimension to the .

I sent a PM to Mark to see if he has a template to share. If not, I will make my own.

Cool project! I like the way the edge effect looks
Need to try cutting plastic and see how it comes out.
Not sure that we should be premoting a group who is not willing to share their ides with us unless we buy from them. If he desires to keep his forum and ideas privite, we should respect that and keep them there.
We will continue to share here on this forum.
Its a shame really it looks like they may have some cool projects going on there. But with their unwillingness to share we donot want to advertise or promote them here.

That is why I posted the direct link to the video here and only mentioned the author and source. Joe has his own business logic, and I respect that, but Peter's video was excellent and I wanted to help PP owners think outside of the foam box. ;)

I think this link will go directly to Peter's Youtube channel where you can view all of his videos. Excellent stuff and you don't need Norm Abram's workshop to do any of it.
